  Abstract:  Das Heil des Menschen - und somit seine Heilsbedürftigkeit - steht im Zentrum des christlichen Glaubens. Seit dem Konzil von Nikaia (325) bekennt die Kirche mit einer ins dritte Jahrhundert zurückreichenden Formel , daß das Wort Fleisch wurde “für uns Menschen und um unseres Heiles willen” . Das Zweite Vatikanische Konzil kennzeichnet in der Dogmatischen Konstitution über die Kirche “Lumen Gentium” und im Dekret über die missionarische Tätigkeit der Kirche “Ad Gentes” die Kirche als “das universale Sakrament des Heils “Theologie selbst wurde als “Wissenschaft vom Heil” charakterisiert.
